About Nick Deal
Nicholous (Nick) Deal is a native of Halifax, Nova Scotia, with extensive professional ties throughout the Atlantic Canadian region. He currently serves as the Assistant Pastor (Finance & Administration) of a young and thriving multicultural church in the Fairview community of Halifax West.
Nick is married to his wife, Laurie, a practicing Halifax Pharmacist. They are expecting their first child in December.
Education
In addition to his pastoral and administrative duties, Nick is also a doctoral candidate at Saint Mary's University and a part-time lecturer in business and communication studies programs.
Nick has earned a bachelor of theology (diploma) from Northeast Christian College, a bachelor of business administration degree from Mount Saint Vincent University, a master of business administration from the Sobey School of Business at Saint Mary's University, and holds the Certified in Management (CIM) designation and a general license with the United Pentecostal Church International.
His research interests include critical historiography, microhistory, actor-network theory, sensemaking, and gender.
